I was instantly drawn to the Lions Club stand when I caught the chargrilled aroma. I was hooked shortly thereafter. Lean, tasty pork on a bun with relish, tomato and onions, boy I could sure go for one now amidst the snow and cold!

Todd Geisert raises hogs on Old Highway 100 just east of town. He is a 5th generation farmer and carries on the traditions started in 1916. The motto of the farm is "Doin' it the Natural Way" as  the hogs are raised in open fields and enjoy sunshine, fresh air and freedom to roam. They are antibiotic free and never given growth hormones.

In the last month the farm went from word-of-mouth to the 21st century as Todd and I put the farm on the web. It was my first large scale website and I'm proud of the way it turned out. I have enjoyed hangin' out with the pigs, taking photos and learning about natural farming. I also learned a LOT about Dreamweaver CS4, which is the program used to build about 90% of all the websites in the world according to Adobe. Please visit Geisert Farms and let me know what you think.

You can visit the farm year round from sunrise to sunset and pickup Pork Burgers, Ham Sausage and much more: Buy at Geisert Farms

The Washington Lions Club sells Pork Burgers  at Springfest, Fallfest and the Town & Country Fair Parade. Just look for the BBQ Pit or close your eyes and wait for the delicious odor to find you
