Heavy Snow on East Side, Only Flurries on West Side of Washington, MO PDF Print E-mail

Little snow fell in western Washington, MissouriAs of early morning on Tuesday, March 4th, little snow had fallen in the Washington, Missouri area.  Anticipation of snowfall, however, resulted in cancellation of school for the City of Washington School District and most other area districts.
 
Starting around 8:00am, many areas of Washington, Missouri began experiencing considerable snowfall.  Snow accumulation was reported up to 10 inches in some southeastern parts of Washington, Missouri.  The photo to the right shows the limited snowfall on the western edge of the Washington, Missouri city limits.  Snow plows and construction equipment clear snow (photo below), on the eastern side of Washington, Missouri.
