Elected City Attorney and City Council candidates were sworn in Tuesday night, April 15th, 2008. The ceremony took place just prior to the new council members' first meeting. Shown being sworn in below are, from left to right, Mark Piontek (City Attorney), Carolyn Witt (Ward 4), Tim Overschmidt (Ward 1), Guy Midkiff (Ward 3) and Jeff Mohesky (Ward 2). ![]() The new council voted on only one ordinance during their first meeting. That ordinance, which passed, provides for the financing necessary to begin the next phase of construction for the Highway 100 project. That project will make Highway 100 a four-lane highway from Washington, Missouri to Interstate 44.
