A press release issued by the Missouri Department of Transportation this week stated the inspection of the Missouri River bridge in Washington, Missouri had concluded and that there is no immediate need for repairs to the bridge. WASHINGTON - Missouri Department of Transportation completed this week's inspection on the Washington Bridge Wednesday afternoon. The inspection results revealed that the Washington Bridge is safe and that there are no immediate repairs that need to be done before the rehabilitation project. This inspection was performed on the repair work that was completed last summer and the remainder of the entire bridge. It determined future repairs that will be included in the bridge rehabilitation project expected to begin in early 2009. The Washington Bridge is located on Route 47 over the Missouri River between Franklin County and Warren County.
