Senator Barack Obama made a stop in Union, Missouri Wednesday afternoon following town hall meetings in Rolla and Springfield earlier in the day. Obama also made a brief stop in Lebanon, Missouri for lunch. Tickets for the barbeque and "meet and greet" were given away on Tuesday afternoon to the first 200 people in line at the Franklin County Democratic Headquarters in Union. The tickets were handed out in less than one hour. Those receiving the tickets were treated to a barbeque at the Union City Park pavilion prior to Obama's arrival. The crowd can be seen in the photo, top right. Obama arrived shortly after 6pm to cheers from supporters. Introducing Obama was U.S. Senator from Missouri, Claire McCaskill. In the pictures to the right, McCaskill is shown getting off the bus with Obama. After a brief time spent shaking hands with some of those in attendance (photo, bottom right), Obama spoke for approximately fifteen minutes. Following the speech, Obama headed to the kitchen where he helped serve supporters barbeque.
