The parade took a slightly different route this year compared to previous years.  This year, the parade began at the city pool, traveled south on High to Fifth, East on Fifth to Elm, and north on Elm, ending at the post-parade party in the parking lot at Main and Elm.

The parade kicks off the week of the Town and Country Fair, which begins on Wednesday, August 6th and continues through Sunday, August 10th.  Some of the Fair's mainstage performers this year include: Tracy Lawrence, Huey Lewis and the News and The Charlie Daniel's Band.
