 The Farmers' Market in Washington is held Saturdays (8am-2pm), April to December and Wednesdays (3pm-6pm), May through October. A recent visit to the Farmers' Market found around a dozen vendors selling their goods. Selection varies by week, but you're bound to find a lot of great choices of fruits, vegetables, baked goods and crafts. Regular choices at the market include staples such as apples, tomatoes, potatoes, corn, beans and squash as well as less common selections such as eggplant and okra -- fresh, and often organic. Baked goods vary and include danishes, breads and cookies. At a recent Farmers Market, Michael Rufkahr (photo, below) was on hand playing guitar and singing.
