This month, Americans across the country are observing Breast Cancer Awareness Month as part of the ongoing effort to raise awareness about the critical need to prevent and cure this killer of women. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women after lung cancer and impacts more than 200,000 women annually while taking the lives of nearly 40,000 women annually, including mothers, daughters, sisters and wives. One of the best ways to fight breast cancer is with early detection, and there’s a straightforward, three-step approach to breast cancer screening:
