I believe the passage of our anti-meth ordinance represents a very important event in local government with far reaching ramifications.

It is imperative that we act in good faith and in a prudent manner befitting the awesome responsibility we are given as elected officials.

After hearing testimony from the pro and con parties at the July 20th council meeting, it was clear that I need to know more and investigate the concerns made during the public comments portion of the meeting.

My greatest concern is of unintended consequences that could inadvertently place hardships on our citizens.

This is why I personally voted to go along with Councilman Rhodes and his tabling of his new ordinance, that would have overturned the original anti-meth ordinance.
