Charter cable subscribers may have noticed that the City of Washington's public access channel is no longer broadcasting on Charter Communications' channel 10.  According to City Administrator Jim Briggs, the broadcast has moved channels, and where Charter customers can now see it depends on what type of service they have.

Washington, Missouri customers with older TVs will need converter boxes to see the broadcast on channel 994.  Customers with newer digital-equipped TVs can see the broadcast on channel 117.2.  It may be necessary to "rescan" for available channels in order to begin seeing the broadcast on these new channels.
